Family Day Care
Mosman Council’s Family Day Care Scheme is home based child care. Staff organise weekly playgroups, regular excursions and administer a toy library for the carers and children.
Carers care for small groups of children in their homes providing a warm, caring environment, particularly suited to the developmental needs of babies and younger children. School aged childcare may also be available out of school hours. Carers are not required to have qualifications, although some do.
The quality of care provision is monitored through home visits to ensure standards are met in accordance with state licensing, national standards and the national accreditation system.
