Mosman Council Children’s Services operates a range of services for children under the age of 12 years. This includes Occasional Child Care, Preschool, Vacation Care, Before & After School Care and Immunisation. Family Day Care is operated by The Infants’ Home in partnership with Mosman Council and is based at the Children’s Services offices at the Drill Hall.
Children’s Services also provides general information about child care for parents and service providers. The Children’s Services Directory outlines many child related services in the local area, including Long Day Care centres, Pre-schools, playgroups and family support services.

Do you need time out for yourself to work, study, or attend appointments?
Mosman Occasional Childcare centre offers quality, flexible childcare for children aged 6 weeks – 5 years. Care is available from 1 hour to 7 hours per day. A limited number of permanent full days may be available.
Early childhood qualified and experienced staff provide a developmentally appropriate program for children in a warm and friendly environment.
Childcare Benefit

Preschool Sessions
Mosman Occasional Child Care Centre also provides an educational preschool program for children aged 3-5 years. Preschool sessions are held on Tuesday’s. Early Childhood qualified and experienced staff provide a developmentally appropriate program with a focus on ‘school readiness’.

Family Day Care
Mosman Family Day Care is administered by the The Infants’ Home, an established service that has been operating in Australia for over 35 years.
Family Day Care is a licensed and accredited service that operates in a secure and stimulating home environment of experienced and registered early childhood educators located in the Mosman area. Educators provide education and care for young children from six weeks to 12 years in small groups – usually 4 or 5 children.

Start a Family Day Care business in your own home!
Mosman Family Day Care is recruiting Educators to set up and start your own small business. With a full-time earning potential of up to $100,000 pa, educators also have the opportunity to work full-time or part-time to suit their needs.
Educators need to have or be working towards a minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services qualification or equivalent.

Affordable Childcare
Council facilitates ten affordable long day care places each at two centres, Pippies of Balmoral Childcare Centre and Jack and Jill Kindergarten, Alexander Avenue, Mosman. For enquiries contact Council’s Children’s Services on 9978 4161.

Connections Playgroup

Mondays 10am – 12pm
- Connections Playgroup Term 2 commences Monday 6th May
The Connections Playgroup is a playgroup session facilitated by experienced staff in a fun and creative environment. The aim of the sessions is to provide opportunities for parents/carers to develop social connections, particularly new residents.
Connections Playgroup is on Mondays 10am-12pm (excluding school holidays) at the Drill Hall, Cross Street.
Cost is $5 per family, per session. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or carer. For more information contact 9978 4161.
