Community Groups
To encourage community dialogue on a range of matters, Council has six Community Groups (formerly called Advisory Groups) with membership drawn from the local community.
If you would like to join a Community Group for 2008 please view and print the Community Groups 2008 - Membership Form (PDF 32KB) and return to Council.
For meeting dates, please refer to the Calendar of Meetings for Mosman Council (PDF 18KB). Meetings are open to all interested residents. Community Groups operate in accordance with the Community Groups Code of Conduct (PDF 35KB).
Art, Library & Cultural Development Focuses on art, library and cultural matters and is involved in cultural planning, events & celebrations, the art gallery, Mosman Village Markets, the Library, Council website, public art projects, friendship agreements and schools liaison.
Business & Marketing Focuses on local and regional economic development, the Business Enterprise Centre, Business Watch, street decoration, tourism and visitors.
Community Development Discusses social planning, volunteers, carers, children and families, youth, aged, people with disabilities, mental illness awareness, reconciliation, road safety education, schools liaison, and access.
Environment Focuses on environmental sustainability issues identified in Council’s Environmental Management Plan – Action Plan, including conservation of biodiversity, Urban Forest Policy, water cycle management, greenhouse gas reduction, and waste and recycling.
Heritage & Architecture Aims to protect, conserve and celebrate Aboriginal, European and natural heritage, urban development & character.
Recreation Assists in identifying the recreational and sporting needs of the community and is involved in the planning and use of recreational/sports facilities, active Mosman, playgrounds, ovals, cycling, Sporting Wall of Fame and sports volunteers.
