The DA process If you are proposing to build on a property in Mosman there are a number of steps you must take in consultation with Council and Council’s policies.

Swimming pools In NSW the Swimming Pools Act 1992 requires that all swimming pools have an appropriate child resistant barrier that restricts access between the residence and the swimming pool. This legislation provides that owners may be fined if the pool fence or other appropriate child resistant barrier does not meet the legal requirements.
Rainwater tanks In Mosman, the installation of a rainwater tank is classified as ‘Exempt Development’ and in most cases does not require Council approval provided that certain basic requirements are met.
