Road closures and Special Event clearways will be in place in a number of CBD, Harbour Foreshore and other locations on Sunday 26 December 2010.
Patrons attending Boxing Day events are advised to use public transport. Plan your trip using the Transport Infoline Trip Planner, or phone 131 500.
The Mosman Rider – your free hail-and-ride, 7 day a week community bus – will operate on Boxing Day between 8am and 6pm.
There are no planned road closures. Police will be monitoring traffic conditions in Bradleys Head Road and Middle Head Road prior to the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race. If the parking reaches capacity or traffic conditions become unsafe roads will be closed as needed.
Headland Park viewing areas
See the start of the 66th Sydney Hobart yacht race at 1pm from Headland Park in Mosman, which offers some of the best vantage points of Sydney Harbour.
The Sydney Harbour Federation Trust will open the roads and parking areas in Headland Park to the public. Free parking will be available at Middle Head and Georges Heights and paid parking at Chowder Bay and Burnt Orange Café.
