An illustrated talk by Dr Perry McIntyre.

Perry McIntyre, local resident, did her PhD on convict family reunion.

She has published and spoken extensively on immigration particularly 19th Century Irish.

The topic is based on her third book which concerns the single free immigrant women from England and Ireland who arrived in the 1830s as the government’s attempt to balance the large male population.


Presented by the Mosman Historical Society. Members free, visitors $5 donation.
Library doors open 6:45pm – 7:15pm.
