Cash prizes for young writers!
The 18th Mosman Youth Awards in Literature, annual prose and poetry competition is now open and over 600 entries from primary and secondary students are expected to compete for the $2,000 prize pool.
We received over 600 entries last year from not only Mosman but all around NSW and the judges were particularly impressed with the high standard of entries.
The competition which is now run by Mosman Library has cash prizes ranging from $50 to $350. The prizes are sponsored by Mosman Lions Club, Rotary Club of Mosman, Mosman Day and Evening College and Peter Burke of ‘Liley & Liley’ in Willoughby.
Entries close on Monday 31 May and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony on Thursday 19 August in the Mosman Youth Development Centre.
