Cleansing Public Areas

Mosman Council has comprehensive programs to cleanse public areas in order to prevent pollution, maintain public amenity of public spaces and reduce risks to public health.

Street Cleansing

Main roads in Mosman are cleansed at least once per day, residential roads are cleaned once every three weeks.

Stormwater Gully Pits

Stormwater gully pits are regularly inspected and cleaned as required.

Beach Cleansing

Council contractors handpick beaches in Mosman daily. All Council controlled beaches are raked and sieved twice per week during summer and once per week at other times of the year. Beachside reserves are cleaned daily.

Public Toilet Cleansing

Public toilets in Mosman are cleansed at least once daily. Toilets in beachside areas of Mosman are cleansed twice daily during summer.

Public Be Tidy Bins

Public Be Tidy bins are emptied daily, and public place recycling bins are collected on an ‘as needs’ basis.
