Waste and recycling

Mosman Council continually strives to improve the waste and recycling services offered to its residents. Council offers a number of options designed to improve the service while minimising waste disposal and maximising resource recovery.

  • My collection dates

Council provides calendars to all residents detailing collection dates for each of its waste services.

  • Household recycling

Mosman Council provides a weekly kerbside recycling collection service. Recycle your paper, cans, cartons and bottles.

  • Household garbage

Mosman Council offers residents a choice of bins for waste collection. The less waste you produce, the smaller the bin you will need and the lower the waste charge will be.

  • Household green waste

Garden organic material like leaves, twigs and weeds, grass cuttings, prunings and general garden vegetation is collected once every four weeks.

  • Household clean up

Council collects Clean Up material – such as furniture, carpet, stoves and bicycle frames – twice a year. Additional collections can be booked.

  • E-waste

Safe and environmentally friendly ways of disposing of unwanted electronic goods like computers, televisions and video recorders.

  • Nearby waste & recycling facilities

Waste and recycling facilities in the northern Sydney region for general waste and a range of recycling and reuse facilities.

  • A to Z of waste disposal
