Library upgrade nears completion

Posted Friday 21 December 2018

Barry O’Keefe Library has been receiving some much-anticipated renovations and repairs, with works now scheduled to be complete by late January 2019.

The beloved civic facility is being recarpeted throughout, has received patchwork painting and repairs where needed and undergone vital roof rectification works.

Additionally, the unusable outside space on the lower floor is in the process of conversion to a tranquil indoor garden reading and study zone. These works will be completed in the beginning of the New Year.

While the library will remain open during this time, with the exception of public holidays, the lower floor reading and study area is closed to accommodate a site office. Access is being maintained to the Mosman Room (Local Studies), meeting rooms and computers.

Thank you for your patience while we work to make our library a functional and beautiful space for community learning.
