Balmoral seawall repairs

Works to repair a damaged seawall on the Balmoral Promenade are expected to be complete before the end of the year.
The four-metre section of seawall has been assessed by a structural engineer and Council is engaging a contractor to carry out the works.
The Promenade was constructed in 1930 with funding provided by the State Government as part of the Depression employment program. It is one of the few English-style seaside promenades on a Sydney beachfront.
The wall was damaged in late September following a vehicle accident.
Subject to contractor availability and weather permitting, works are scheduled for completion before the end of the year.
