Posted on Thursday 2 March 2017

Mosman’s celebration of International Women’s Day will feature Sky News presenter, author and columnist Jacinta Tynan at a breakfast on Wednesday 8 March from 7.30am to 9.00am at Mosman Art Gallery.

Enjoy breakfast while Jacinta talks about juggling her career with raising young children and shares her insights into the importance of finding the joy in motherhood and supporting each other along the way.

Jacinta, who is a patron for SISTER2sister program, which is a mentoring and risk management program empowering teenage girls, is a mum to two young children and positive parenthood is a familiar topic in her book and newspaper column.

“Motherhood can be such an enriching experience, but it’s not without its challenges for any of us. There’s laughter and tears (from me as well as the children), hopes and struggles,” Jacinta said. “We all have days when we think ‘I’ve got this’, but it’s particularly important on those other days that we support each other.”

Jacinta’s latest book Mother Zen will be available for purchase at the event. Tickets are $15 per person including admittance and breakfast. Bookings are essential at www.trybooking.com/OPWS or phone 9978 4257 by 3 March.

International Women’s Day is celebrated across the world each year on March 8. The day provides an opportunity to recognise the achievements of women and their contribution to society. International Women’s Day 2017 theme is BeBoldForChange.
