Mosman's Pet's Day Out
Mosman Council’s Pet’s Day Out, a highlight event in all pet owner and lovers’ diaries, will be held during the Festival of Mosman 2017 on Sunday 22 October from 10am – 2pm on Mosman Square and Village Green.
New and returning entertainment acts and interactive activities include Australian Wildlife shows, DOGA – Yoga with your dog, Bark Busters Walking Obedience Master classes, Dancing Dogs R Us performances, Taronga Zoomobile, Mosman Vet displays, colouring in competition, cupcake decorating and face painting.
“Mosman’s Pet’s Day Out is a fantastic, interactive day for pets, their owners and animal lovers in general, and it’s so enjoyable meeting the locals and giving free behavioural consultations!” Sharon Birrell from Bark Busters Lower North Shore said. “Our Bark Busters Walking Master class has been great fun in past years and we look forward to running it again in 2017.”
Owners and their dogs will also get a chance to try a free DOGA – Yoga with your dog class with Mosman fitness celebrities Adele and Lisa Rancan. Just like humans, dogs can suffer from anxiety, depression and stress. Yoga with your dog can be used to calm and settle anxious pets.
“The Festival of Mosman Pet’s Day Out is a great way to try a free DOGA class,” Lisa and Adele Rancan said. “Yoga with your dog is a perfect way to spend quality time with your four legged friend, they will love the session as much as you will. You will feel de-stressed and your dog will be calm.”
Many prizes will be on offer during competitions including the Pet-owner Look-alike, Animal Fancy Dress, Most Unusual Pet, Egg and Spoon race and There’s No Such Thing as the Dog Poo Fairy race.
There will be sample giveaways and products for purchase at our colourful stalls on the day including delicious and organic pet food and pet supplies.
