EV charger network expands
Council is expanding its electric vehicle fast charging network following the popularity of the Mosman Square Car Park charging station with two new Evie Networks electric vehicle fast chargers to be installed in Raglan Street West car park in Mosman Junction.
The additional chargers will help cater for the expected significant growth in the use of chargers as more motorists opt for electric vehicles in coming years.
A record 100 charging hours were clocked up in August by the existing Mosman Square charger, marking a major milestone by saving a total of 30,000 kgs of CO2 emissions since its installation in December 2020.
Council energy is already being supplied by renewable sources as part of a deal secured along with 24 other participating councils.
