Harnett Park footbridge works

Posted on Wednesday 8 February 2023

Repair works will soon begin on a footbridge which connects Harnett Park in Mosman with the Cremorne Reserve footpath.

Workers have cleared a tree which fell from private property in a storm in December which forced the closure of the bridge. The damaged wooden bridge has now been removed and works to prepare and release a tender for a new bridge are currently underway.

Pedestrians are advised to avoid the area by taking an alternative walking route via stairs from Harnett Park, above Mosman Rowers, to Lower Boyle Street and the Lower Spofforth steps.

Access via the footbridge is likely to be closed for several months while work continues to replace the bridge with assistance from North Sydney Council.
