2018 Out & About Night Market, Concerts and Outdoor Cinemas

Mosman Council’s popular Out & About spring series of free outdoor events returns with two Friday evening concerts at Balmoral, two Saturday night movie screenings on the Village Green and the introduction of a new night market on Mosman Square.

Enjoy the warmer weather at these entertaining open-air evenings of music and performance, food and drink or action and comedy.

Out & About will begin with the Classical Sounds by the Beach concert on Friday 19 October from 5-8.30pm at Balmoral Beach.

Mosman’s internationally-renowned soprano Amelia Farrugia will headline the concert.

“I’m so delighted to be performing in Classical Sounds by the Beach, a wonderful free entertainment initiative by Mosman Council. I encourage everyone to come to support our local talent and enjoy the stunning surroundings!” said Amelia.

Amelia will be joined by Jonathan Wilson on piano and students from Sydney Sings along with a host of other local talent including Stephen Lalor and Fiona Ziegler representing the Mosman Music Club, Mosman Symphony Choir, Queenwood String Orchestra and Queenwood Symphony Orchestra. Mosman-based news presenter and journalist Jacinta Tynan will MC the event.

Continuing the community’s enjoyment of outdoor movie screenings, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Under the Stars will be held on Saturday 20 October from 7.30pm-9.30pm on the Mosman Village Green.

Mosman’s new OctoberFeast Night Market featuring gourmet food, artisan beer and wine along with beautifully crafted goods, live entertainment and face painting for the kids will be held on Thursday 25 October from 4.30-9pm on Mosman Square.

Dan Barnett, one of Sydney’s premier vocalist and trombonists, and his versatile band, will entertain the crowd with their music which ranges from swing jazz to contemporary dance music at Concert by the Beach on Friday 26 October from 5-8.30pm at Balmoral Beach.

Family and friends will enjoy acts by Mosman Public School dance groups, Specialist Choir and Amadeus Band, Mosman Physie, Dance First Academy Mosman, Mosman Dance Academy, Maribella Choir, Beauty Point Public School Senior Band, Queenwood School Swing Band, Queenwood School Stage Band and Mosman High Senior Jazz Band.

For some light-hearted cheeky entertainment, come along to Peter Rabbit Under the Stars on Saturday 27 October from 7.30-9pm on the Mosman Village Green.
