Posted on Friday 15 December 2017

Mosman’s Rapt Christmas decorating competition has again attracted more than 80 business entries, having become a festive tradition since it began seven years ago in Mosman’s business and retail precincts.

The joint initiative of Mosman Council and the Mosman Chamber of Commerce received 81 entries from businesses across the area, including the main Spit Road and Military Road strips, Bridgepoint, Avenue Road, Vista Street and the Myahgah Mews shopping area.

The competition also included residential categories to help residents to get into the festive spirit with a chance to win some great prizes.

Winners of the Rapt 2017 were announced on Wednesday 13 December at the Mosman Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party held at Mosman Art Gallery. Mosman Mayor Carolyn Corrigan and Councillor Libby Moline congratulated the winners and commended all those who entered and who put a lot of time and effort into creating beautiful Christmas displays in Mosman.

For a large area they have managed to capture the feeling of Christmas by using numerous arrangements including Santas, Christmas trees and even little decorations among the food display cabinets. It is a pleasure to sit and look around the upper level and enjoy their creative decorations”.

The recipients of Commendations in the business categories of Rapt 2017 are: Accoutrement, Benicky & Sons, Floriade, Fourth Village Providore, Lilly & Mitchell, Papaya, Tres Chic, Wild Orchid Lingerie and Zjoosh.
