Mosman Christmas Gift Appeal

Posted on Friday 8 December 2017

Mosman residents are invited to share the joy of the holiday season by selecting gifts for disadvantaged children and youth aged between 0 and 18 years and placing them under the Christmas tree in the Council foyer by Thursday 14 December, 5pm.

“Last year we had an amazing 416 gifts left under our Christmas tree and this year Mosman will direct our Christmas Gift Appeal to Barnardos,” Mayor Carolyn Corrigan said.

“It would be a wonderfully generous gesture by our community to either match or better last year’s result to support Australian children who are living in challenging and difficult family situations.”

Schools, businesses and community groups as well as individuals are all encouraged to take part.

While gifts for children aged 0 to 18 are welcome, donations for teens aged 13 and over, who are often overlooked in Christmas donations, would be particularly appreciated.

The Mosman Christmas Gift Appeal provides an opportunity for residents to connect with and participate in community life.
