Parent seminar on raising resilient kids and teens

Posted on Friday 11 May 2018

Parents will learn important strategies and tips about harnessing resilience factors in children and young people from popular psychologist Collett Smart at a seminar to be hosted by Mosman Council Children’s and Youth Services later this month.

Raising Resilient Kids and Teens – in life, relationships and their online world will also look at how behaviours that feed anxiety and pessimism can be reduced, what kids and teens want and need and what’s considered “normal” behaviour.

Collett, who is a lecturer, writer and busy mother of three, is renowned for her wealth of knowledge in the area. She will give advice on how to talk to kids about taking their resilience into the challenging online environment and offer practical tips for enhancing relationships with children and teens.

The seminar will be held from 7.30-9pm on Tuesday 29 May at Mosman Art Gallery.
