Parent seminar to develop positive body image

Posted on Friday 2 November 2018

Parents will learn practical tools to promote a healthy digital culture and build resilience online in children and young people, from technology and development expert Dr Kristy Goodwin at a seminar to be hosted by Mosman Council Children’s and Youth Services this month.

Empowering children and young people to develop positive body image in an online world will also look at how to empower and support children and young people to develop positive body image and navigate unrealistic portrayals of “ideal” bodies in the digital landscape.

Kristy, who is a digital health and wellbeing expert, researcher, author, speaker and former teacher, is renowned for her wealth of knowledge in the area. She will give advice on how to communicate with and encourage healthy decision-making for children and young people online.

Tickets for the seminar, which will be held from 7.30-9pm on Wednesday 14 November at Mosman Art Gallery, cost $25 per person and include light refreshments.
